Born in L'Arbresle on 1986, Zacharie Gaudrillot-Roy cultivated a passion for cinema since he was a teenager. Image, as a reallity interpretation and an artistic choice, drived him to make photography his principal activity. So he resigned from a science curriculum to continue studies closer to his aspirations. In 2009, he graduated from school of Condé, then worked as a photographer for the city of Lyon. He opened a workshop gallery named l'abat-jour in 2013, where he still organizes exhibitions and works on collective artistic projects. In parallel, he develops his work, using various media – as photography, video and writing – continuously seeking the bondings between strangeness and familiar, fiction and reality.
